March 15, 2018
The finals day of the annual club tennis tournament will take place on Sunday 1 July. We hope this will be a brilliant sunny day of top quality tennis with lots of spectators – a highlight of the tennis year. Closing date for entries is Thursday 5 April, with the draw taking place the following day.
- Men’s singles (plus Plate competition for those who lose their first match)
- Women’s singles
- Men’s doubles
- Women’s doubles
- Mixed doubles
Each match will be best of three sets, with a first to seven points tie-break at six-all in the first two sets. A first to 10 points tie-break will decide the third set. Finals will be best of three tie-break sets.
The draw will be seeded and will be made on Friday 6 April. It will be emailed to all entrants and posted on the notice board in the main clubhouse. Each player is responsible for checking the draw and arranging and playing matches by specified dates. If a match is delayed and starts holding up the rest of the competition, the organiser will toss a coin to decide who goes through.
If you think you have a chance of reaching a final, please ensure you will be available on Sunday 1 July, as all finals will take place on the same day.
