So what actually happened…
Steve Martin and Roger Hill managed to complete the ride in spite of strong head winds all the way. They send out their thanks to those who made donations towards the amazing total of £800(including gift aid) for THE STROKE ASSOCIATION.

There is still the opportunity for others to donate on http://www.justgiving.com/Roger-Hill1 to get the total evan higher for this years Bounds Green charity.

Many thanks
Roger & Steve

One of our very own bowlers Roger Hill is taking part in a charity bike ride for THE STROKE ASSOCIATION on Sunday 11th May. He’s cycling from Southwark Park over 16 London bridges to Hampton Court, giving his new knee a bit of a workout.
In order to support this worthy cause, our current President’s charity, he needs your sponsorship PLEASE.

Go to his page at http://www.justgiving.com/Roger-Hill1 and donate what you can.

With thanks

Eurovision on the Big Screen, Saturday Evening, April 10th

Yes, It’s The Eurovision Song Contest again! Cue Ode To Joy!

Hurrah! You may possibly feel a little jaded about the ESC, but, come on, Graham Norton will be there in Copenhagen, and you have to admit it’s a great excuse to drink and fully appreciate the music, costumes, dancing styles, completely over the top stagings and political allegiances of our fellow Europeans. Poor old whatzername who’s singing our entry ‘Children of the Universe’! She deserves our support! She’s up against a bearded drag queen from Austria apparently, (unless I dreamed that).

We had an absolute blast watching it together in 2012, so drink and be merry at Eurovision Song Contest time, at the club on Saturday the 10th May. The big screen, your friends, the bar, it all really does help.
